Citizen Redressal Division
Need for Redressal
A huge gap exists between the citizens and the Govt departments causing an inordinate delay in addressing the grievances. Citizens also lack the confidence and trust in getting the grievances redressed. Also, people living in remote areas / villages cannot come to Govt department every time. Hence, the need for a NGO like Praja Bandhu to take the lead in creating a link between the citizens and the Govt department to address the citizen’s grievances.
Redressal of Issues | How does this work?
Approximately 28+ Government departments are linked through this app. All the officers and employees of each department have been on boarded in this mobile app. The citizen can highlight any problem pertaining to the area through the app. This can be a text message / voice message / video or a photograph. The issue gets reflected in the respective department’s officer’s and the staff’s mobile app prompting them to take action.
The entire network is through a mobile app which can be downloaded and operated with a simple OTP installation. The app connects to various departments through which a citizen can upload the grievance. The mobile app has regional language option for the convenience of the citizen.

How to Use App
Coordinator's Network
A coordinator’s network aims at linking the citizens with different Govt departments for redressing their civic issues potholes on the roads, street lighting, non-functional transformer, power, natural calamities and other infrastructural issues. Once the issue is flagged, it needs to get resolved in a stipulated time, failing which it get escalated to the higher authority. The MLA also monitors and intervenes if the issue is not addressed timely.
The status is monitored at different levels till the issue is resolved. Praja Bandhu also has a coordinating team to monitor the entire process and ensure redressal of the grievance. The team also helps the citizen in posting the grievance on their behalf. In case of a prolonged delay in redressal of the issue, the local MLA comes into action to talk to the concerned department and close the issue.
The aim is to provide direct access of the Government departments to the citizens without the effort of running through different departments particularly in the rural and semi-urban areas, which not only saves time and energy but also helps in resolving the issue faster.
